One thing my mother always told me when we were growing up, is to make sure that the guests in our home were always well entertained. This meant getting them drinks and utensils for eating, or snacks when they were hungry. This was just the way we went about showing hospitality.

Now that we have grown older, a few things stick out in our minds about how to be hospitable to guests. One thing that a lot of people do which is so wrong is that they spend time on their cell phone. Why would you ignore your guests to speak with someone that isn’t there? Another thing people do is ask their guests to serve themselves. This is a no no because you should allow serve what you have to your guests as a waiter would.

While these are simple things you may or may not agree with me on, they are things I incorporate in my gatherings all the time and they certainly work.
